beesayatv is an independent trail documentation project based in Cebu, Philippines.
Through quiet field visits, I walk, observe, and document Cebu’s trail networks as they exist at the time of each visit. The goal is to create a growing archive of documented trails, routes, and places of interest that reflects the changing outdoor landscape of Cebu.
Rather than recommending destinations or teaching people how to hike, beesayatv focuses on recording firsthand observations that may be useful to anyone interested in Cebu’s trail network.
What You’ll Find
Depending on the documented trail, a Trail Report may include:
- Trail statistics, including distance, elevation gain, and route type
- Downloadable GPX files (when available)
- Interactive route maps
- Photographs and quiet hiking videos recorded during the field visit
- Points of interest such as waterfalls, springs, viewpoints, parking areas, stores, and habal-habal terminals
- Trail features and observations recorded during the visit
- Updates when a documented trail is revisited
Every Trail Report is based on firsthand field observations from the documented visit.
Why This Project Exists
Trails are constantly changing.
Vegetation grows, rivers shift, roads are built, access changes, and footpaths gradually appear or disappear as landscapes and communities evolve. By documenting these changes over time, beesayatv aims to preserve a record of Cebu’s trail network while contributing to a better understanding of how these places evolve.
Each documented trail becomes another piece of Cebu’s outdoor history.
A Quiet Documentary Style
Most field visits are recorded without narration or background music. The intention is simple: allow the landscape and its natural sounds to tell the story.
Rather than placing the focus on the person behind the camera, beesayatv documents the experience of moving through forests, mountains, rivers, and countryside as quietly and naturally as possible.
Building Cebu’s Trail Atlas
The project continues to grow with every documented field visit. As additional routes are explored and previously documented trails are revisited, the long-term goal is to build a comprehensive field archive of Cebu’s trail network, preserving both well-known routes and lesser-documented footpaths for future reference.
