The beesayatv Trail Atlas combines documented hiking routes, field observations, and supporting map information into a single interactive map. The following features are available within the Atlas.
- Interactive Cebu trail map — Displays documented hiking routes across Cebu on an interactive map.
- Map basemaps — Switch between Map, Satellite, and Topographic views to examine routes under different map styles. Your selected basemap is remembered for future visits.
- Focus Mode — Selecting a trail highlights the active route while reducing the visual emphasis of unrelated routes.
- Route details panel — Displays summary information and provides a direct link to the corresponding trail report when a route is selected.
- Adaptive route styling — Route lines automatically adjust their appearance to remain visible across different basemap styles.
- Trail segmentation — Some documented routes are divided into segments to better represent difficulty level changes along the route while improving map readability.
- Direction chevrons — Indicates the documented direction of travel along the selected route without functioning as turn-by-turn navigation.
- Start markers and text bubble — Clearly identifies the recorded beginning of the selected documented route.
- Trail search — Quickly locate documented trails directly from the Atlas search box.
- Standard Points of Interest (POIs) — Displays persistent locations such as transportation-related points that remain visible independently of any selected trail.
- Context Points of Interest (POIs) — Shows field-documented locations associated with a selected trail, including water sources, stores, houses, campsites, and other points encountered during documentation.
- Habal-habal routes layer — Displays an optional layer showing documented motorcycle access routes that can assist in reaching trail areas.
- Habal routes toggle — Allows the Habal-habal routes layer to be shown or hidden independently of the documented hiking routes.
- Legend — Explains the meaning of route colours, markers, and other map symbols used throughout the Atlas.
- Locate Me — Uses your device’s location, with permission, to center the map near your current position.
- Explorer Mode — Expands the Trail Atlas into full view for a more immersive browsing experience, particularly on smaller screens.
