Cambanog Falls | Dumanjug | 2026 GPX

Cambanog Falls is a short out-and-back hike in Langin, Kambanog, Dumanjug. The route descends through open terrain toward the river before reaching the falls, then returns along the same trail with a continuous uphill climb back to the jump-off point. Despite its short distance, the return climb can still be physically demanding.

The documented hike began near Cambanog Elementary School. Motorcycle parking was available along the roadside, and no parking fee was observed during the hike. The jump-off was reached via a rough road. Private vehicles could access the area, while public transportation was limited. Habal-habal services were available.

Route Description

The route begins with a mostly downhill descent toward the river, making the approach relatively easy. Near the lower sections, the trail includes a few short climbs and uneven terrain before reaching Cambanog Falls.

The return follows the same route, with a continuous uphill climb back to the jump-off point. Although the overall distance is only about 2 km, the ascent may still feel tiring.

Trail Conditions

Conditions during the documented hike were sunny and dry. The trail was mostly exposed, with few shaded sections. Although dry during the recorded hike, the trail can become muddy during rainy weather.

Mobile signal was strong near the jump-off point but unavailable near the river. A few stores were present along the route. At least 1 liter of water was recommended. No other hikers were encountered during the hike, and insect activity was minimal.

Additional Notes

The trail surface is mostly soil from the jump-off point to the river and can become very muddy after rain.
