Mt. Kalatkat is a short out-and-back hike in Kalangyawon, Sayao, Sibonga. The route follows grassy mountain slopes and narrow livestock paths to the summit, with gradual elevation gain, open mountain views, and a straightforward trail suitable for first-time solo hikers.

Access
The documented hike began near Kalangyawon Elementary School, which was reached via a combination of paved and concrete roads. Motorcycle parking was available along the roadside, and no parking fee was observed during the hike. Private vehicles could access the jump-off point, while public transportation was not available. Habal-habal services were available.
Motorcycles can reach the foot of the mountain, reducing the hiking distance. For the documented hike, the route began from Kalangyawon Elementary School to include a longer warm-up walk.

Route Description
The trail gradually climbs through grassy mountain slopes and narrow livestock paths toward the summit. The route is easy to follow and provides wide, open views along much of the hike.
Most of the trail has gradual elevation gain with little technical difficulty. Near the summit, the trail becomes more exposed before returning along the same route to the starting point.
Trail Conditions
Conditions during the documented hike were sunny and dry. The lower sections were mostly shaded, while the summit area was more exposed. No stores were encountered along the route.
Mobile signal was intermittent throughout the hike. At least 1 liter of water was recommended. Very few people and few insects were encountered during the hike.
Additional Notes
The trail is well-trodden because it is regularly used by local residents to move livestock.
