Mini Switzerland | Campinsa, Talisay | 2026 GPX

Mini Switzerland is a short loop hike through the hills of Campinsa and Manipis. The route combines cemented paths, open countryside, and hillside trails, making it suitable for beginners. The hike is characterized by a long initial descent followed by a steady uphill return to the starting point.

Access

The documented hike began in Campinsa, with access via a concrete road. Motorcycle parking was available along the roadside, and no parking fee was observed during the hike. Private vehicles could reach the jump-off point, while public transportation was very limited. Habal-habal services were available.

Route Description

The route starts with a long descent on cemented stairs before joining Manipis Road and continuing onto open hillside trails. The terrain transitions into gradual rolling climbs and descents across the countryside, with several sections offering wide mountain views.

Much of the route is exposed to the sun before the trail gradually returns toward Campinsa. The final section is a steady uphill climb back to the jump-off point.

Trail Conditions

Conditions during the documented hike were sunny and dry. The trail was mostly exposed, with limited shade throughout much of the route. Although dry during the recorded hike, the trail can become muddy after rain.

Mobile signal was strong near the jump-off point but disappeared farther along the route. No stores were encountered during the hike. At least 2 liters of water was recommended. No other hikers were encountered, and insect activity was minimal.

Additional Notes

Part of the documented route passed through an active road construction area at the time of recording (May 2026).
