Toong Forest Trail Hike is a short hike connecting the trails of Toong, Mahayahay, and Buhisan. The route passes through farmland, open hillsides, and a small mountain community before descending toward Kawa Kawa Falls. The trail is easy to follow, with gradual elevation changes and low route commitment.

Access
The documented hike began near Toong Barangay Hall, which was reached via a concrete road. Motorcycle parking was available along the roadside, and no parking fee was observed during the hike. Private vehicles could access the jump-off point, while public transportation was limited. Habal-habal services were available.
For the documented hike, the motorcycle was left near populated areas for added security and as part of the warm-up walk.

Route Description
The route begins with gradual uphill sections through rolling farmland before continuing across mostly open terrain. Around 2.3 km into the hike, the trail passes through a small mountain community after a steep uphill climb.
Beyond the community, the route continues toward Kawa Kawa Falls, which was reached at approximately the 5 km mark. The trail then descends toward the falls, with some steeper downhill sections that may be tiring on the knees.
Trail Conditions
Conditions during the documented hike were sunny and dry. The trail was dry at the time but can become muddy during rainy weather. Most sections were slightly exposed, with no stores encountered along the route.
Mobile signal was strong near the trailhead before becoming weak or disappearing farther along the route. At least 2 liters of water was recommended. Few insects and low foot traffic were observed during the hike.
Additional Notes
The return from Kawa Kawa Falls was not included in the GPX recording. Part of the return route followed a long climb on a concrete road.
